About Founder and CEO Stephen McGuinness
Stephen McGuinness is a driven innovator and entrepreneur with a unique combination of technical expertise and creative vision. As the founder of MLQS®, L.L.C., Stephen has successfully transformed his childhood gaming clan into a multi-faceted organization, delivering impactful solutions in textiles, water recreation, and entertainment.
Stephen’s expertise lies at the intersection of polymer science, color chemistry, and sustainability. Currently pursuing a degree in Polymer and Color Chemistry at NC State University's Wilson College of Textiles, he has honed skills in research, material innovation, and product development. His academic journey includes working with complex chemical databases like the Textile PFAS Database and advancing sustainable practices through initiatives such as Fabric 360™, a project that embodies his passion for circular economy solutions.
Beyond academics, Stephen’s entrepreneurial spirit has led to notable achievements:
